When I first got back into horses a few years ago, my friend Kathy invited us to the speed show and tried to get me to enter a horse. I told her "I'll never do that. That's too fast. I'll get hurt!" Well, I went to my second speed show.....and I GALLOPED every chance I got! And I liked it and I think Corky did too! I didn't get a chance to practice at all, so I didn't know how things were going to turn out, but it was all good! There isn't alot to tell about the show, other than I tried galloping and Corky understood, so that's what we did! A friend took some awesome pictures at the show that I'm sharing!

All of this wouldn't be possible if Corky wasn't the horse that he is! I can't stop saying that enough. I wouldn't be doing this without him.
And then there was a picture that I'm going to frame!
Janeen and Corky from the UP of Michigan!
OH, JANEEN!!! I am so happy for you! You go Girl! You look like you are going pretty fast around the poles; he is even scooting on his hind end. Ok, that's it, Now I want to try this! Looks like so much fun. Isn't it FABULOUS to get your confidence?
ReplyDeleteYes, Susan, it's great to get my confidence, but once again if it wasn't for Corky I'm not sure that would have happened. And do try it! Do it in Novice! I'm just running in Novice and told myself I'd be trotting all season, maybe canter, but that was okay, because I was finally going to run barrels like I started dreaming last year. I never would have thought I would be doing this at 52 years young.
DeleteWay to go, Janeen - it looks like a whole lot of fun and it is so great to try new things with our Curlies!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Shelly!
