Flooding

Hi all,
It has been raining here non stop the last couple of days, have standing water pretty much everywhere and our driveway is getting washed away in spots. A significant amount of our pasture is under water and now inhabited by ducks.
So, I took everyone out for walks in it today, had them go through puddles, across streams, interacting with ducks, and was tempted to go swimming, although was only able to manage that with the dogs, all without even leaving the driveway!! Everyone is inside now getting all dry, eating lunch and "enjoying" the sound of rain falling on the roof.
I think my back is going to be out of commission for a time after digging so many trenches and ditches.
Interestingly enough, although I'm sure no surprise to anyone, Xandra (2 yrs) and Zypher (1 yr), seemed to think the whole thing was a hoot and were excited for the next challenge, while the adult horses all did what was asked but more with an attitude of oh, do we have to? All in all was nice to get out and do something despite the rain. Plan to ride into the Park a little later, see what damage has been done over there, once everyone is resembling dry enough to do so. :-)
I am seriously ready for the rainy season (9 months out of the year here) to be over.
