Today was the second visit, since bringing her home, with our "barefoot" farrier, Sherri. She was much better this time around with only slight agitation on the last hind foot; she wanted breakfast. Her feet are looking great and I think I notice improvement in her posture and riding.I can't say enough good things about Sherri and the barefoot methods. Here is her website if you want to learn more about what "barefoot" entails...it's http://www.betterbebarefoot.com/home

Got out riding yesterday. It was a balmy 28 degrees with hardly a wind. Brigitte was great and seemed to be having fun and while we weren't sweaty when we returned there was some heavy breathing happening. Her stablemate, Asher, a Halflinger cross and her took turns guiding us along. They love each other in the pasture, nose to nose in the hay, but up until yesterday riding with the two of them was a challenge.
