Saturday was finally enough of a break in the weather to work with Linus and not have to worry about which one of us was going to pass out first. Early evening is when I finally got a chance to work with him. We did his feet, brushed the mud out of him since he has taken to rolling in it on a daily basis (its the coolest place to be). Right as I finished this my husband came up the driveway so I drafted him to take some pictures of Linus and I with our gorgeous RAC ribbon. After the photo shoot we did some driving in his pasture and then up the road a little bit. We trotted a bit again too...only a bit since at this point when we trot it means that I do too!!
Afterwards my just turned 3 year old niece who is visiting from Woodstock, ON really wanted a "pony ride" (all these people that think Linus is a pony are going to be SO shocked in 2 years) She is very into princesses and is convinced I must be one because I own Linus. She lit up like a Christmas tree when I finally asked her if she would like to have a ride on Linus. She totally adored the chance to do something like that. There is not a whole lot of horses that are his age that I would have even offered that chance on but Linus was an absolute star with her. She greeted him and petted him all over before sitting on his back.
The first picture is so hilarious because Linus just looks so smug and full of himself. The others are my niece Maire, on Linus with my husband holding her so her mother could take pictures.
Thanks again Denise for the gorgeous ribbon and the awesome time had by all in May!!.
Great post! I giggled at your comment, "...finally enough of a break in the weather to work with Linus and not have to worry about which one of us was going to pass out first."
