*Royal back to work

This weekend was our normal holiday weekend so the horses and ponies were up in the runs..........whew alot of weeds can grow if no ponies are in them! I left Royal my yearling colt in the run to work with again. If you remember he was quite scared when he arrived here in Feb of this year. Well after he was settled I left him out in the pasture to grow a bit, mentally and physically. He didn't grow much taller, but mentally he has leaped in leaps and bounds! Haltered easily, lead out of a pen with 2 geldings with no trouble, fly spray no worries, and the noodle all over his body with not a blink. So something new was in order. A harness saddle and crupper! It was no trouble for Royal.......left it on for a few mins and then stopped at a good point.

  2. We try to, but it seems something always gets in the way.........Sunny is the one that we first broke (just last year, why does it seem so long ago) and usually the one we drive. Buck (4yr old gelding) is green at driving and still unsure so he has appointment with pro trainer next spring. Also have a 2 yr old gelding that has had harness saddle on his back that soon will be ground driving.............next year will be a VERY busy driving year!
