Can't top that! =]

Well..I can't top Betsy & Zoe's post, but I felt like it was quite an accomplishment to actually get my hubby out on the trail today! =] With our work done and a beautiful day, he obliged to join me. I can't remember the last time he rode Zig to be honest. Tracy has been riding him most of the time when she comes home. At any rate, we had a beautiful ride! It was sunny and lovely. A bit chilly, but we were dressed for it. Reese was a bit distracted with Zig on the trail so we ended things by working in the arena in some nice fluffy slow....trotting, bending, stopping...cantering both directions, backing. We ended on a really good note. When I ride with Tom, it's usually a hurry up and go type thing..but I told him next time, we both lunge our horses and do it right. They were fine, but Zig didn't settle down til about 1/2 way through the ride. Tomorrow is supposed to be 27 and sunny! I hope I can haul out somewhere...and do a really nice Christmas even ride. That would be so fabulous. Merry Christmas everyone!

  1. Denise, Where in the UP are you? Or did we mapquest it wrong? The scenery and variety is breathtaking! Around here it is haul a fairly signifacant distance or see the same flat flat flat prairie -- not too fun for pictures but we have GREAT sunsets and sunrises LOL... the Couple who are new to Curlies are currently at their growing up home in HigginsLake, MI -- wondering where taht is from you? Merry Christmas and congrats on the hubby riding - that is an accomplishment and ahhh to hold hands while riding on Christmas Eve - I would like to have enough snow to go sledding - Don has a GREAT old sled!

  2. That first picture is gorgeous! It is amazing how different it looks with the snow! Tom looks cold! Maybe he should have gotten down to take the picture-he would have created some body heat! Hahaha. Merry Christmas!
