Year end Ride With 2010
Well today was a day playing with the weanlings. We wanted to ride, but the footing is so bad and unpredictable. Frozen in some area's, mushy in some and mud 6" or more deep in some. So we played it safe and decided to work with the weanlings today on haltering and more leading, plus since we were already doing things with them, we decided to get pics and hair samples on them. Kristal and Kendahl were great help. Kristal is my shining star as far as helping with her strength and knowledge, and Kendahl with her tenacity and fearless attitude. The babies always venture more toward the little ones anyways. So glad it was today as this evening we are in the middle of a snow storm and it is on the warmer side and slushy, so would have made for fun out side today, let alone seeing the horses in the pictures. Strange weather we are having. Thank you Denise for getting us out there to have fun!!!! Sometimes we get so wrapped up in life and the things we have to do, we forget to go out and have some fun, and enjoy the company of out wonderful horses...

I am so glad you were able to get out Sheryl! Your babies are growing up so nicely...they are beautiful too. Trust me, I wouldn't have ridden either had I not been inspired by all of you! And you know..it only takes an hour or less to really enjoy the time spent. Not much time at all! Thanks for joining us and doing what you could do!!!
ReplyDeleteI just love the last line of your post. It is SO TRUE! And you are blessed to be able to spend time with your wonderful kids and horses at the same time. :)
ReplyDeleteOh Sheryl, ditto on Susan's comment about being blessed to have your incredible girls wanting to help you with your horses. Great quality time spent with everyone important in your life, Kristal and Kendahl and the curly babies! Thank you for sharing your time!
