I know - it is hard to believe, but I had an awful ride on Tessa today! Now as way of explanation, she has only been out be herself once in the past two years, but I thought well, a slow trail ride would be good for her confidence - well, she was so badly distracted I did not enjoy it AT ALL. I am hoping that tomorrow is a better day :(
On a better note - I have been working with my 3 year old filly *Spiffy Curl to get her going under saddle and she is doing fabulous! Here are a few photos of her - you win some you work on some, right?

Spiffy Curl looks great! I hope your riding alone with Tessa will be better next time, sometimes they just have an off day I guess! Good luck!
ReplyDelete"You win some, you work on some" - I like your comment! Spiffy Curl is VERY pretty. She has a nice expression, too. I bet *Tessa the Terrible will be *Tessa the Terrific once she gets a few Alone Rides under her girth, don't you?
ReplyDeleteThank you both for your comments - I think that in Tessa's case I simply expect a lot from her and I always seem to be in a hurry to do "this" or "that" - she is my horse and deserves more of my time invested in her. I am going to blog about today now - to update on how she is doing.
ReplyDeleteThanks about Spiffy - she is really lovely and just SO easy going - wonderful to work with.
