Tuck's Frist Trail Ride at the Ranch.

Yesterday my husband and I went riding at one of our cattle ranches here in Madera, CA. This was my new horse Tucker's first time at the ranch and seeing cattle. He was mesmerized by the cattle at first but after and hour he could care less about them. Along our ride we encountered a bridge and water to go across. This was the first time Tucker had ever crossed a bridge like that and first time going through the water. Tucker did great with the bridge but needed a little coaxing with the water but once he got in he was no problem. This was such a great way to end the weekend. Tucker's training is coming right along and hopefully in the future we will be competing in Trail competition and other big events to promote the wonderful Curly breed.

  1. You do such a nice job with your horses! Wow, is it flat out there. Do you get snow there? How old is Tucker?

  2. Thank you so much. Tucker is a wonderful 3 1/2 years old. I have only been riding him since September. It is flat but there are some rolling hills. Some of our other ranches had more hills than this one. It does not snow in the valley where we live but drive about 45 minutes into the mountian behind us it does.
