January 2nd, Anastasia and I were able to get out for a couple of hours today - it was cold but just an incredible day to ride. The trails are just about perfect, not a whole lot of snow, but someone has conveniently run around with a snowmobile and packed most of the trails down so that the footing is excellent. We had a really great time and I even remembered to take my camera along so here are a bunch of photos!
I even took a tiny bit of video to share with you all.
Enjoy the pictures - anyone from RAC who is coming through our area is welcome to take a ride with us - we live in a postcard type area that we enjoy and appreciate each and every time we get out there - and how better to enjoy it then with our incredible Curly horses!

ReplyDeleteWow on your countryside Shelly! Excellent that you not only were able to get out, but your photos made me feel like I had been on a fabulous horsey vacation...postcard perfect:~)
ReplyDeleteWow, what amazing scenery. Great incentive to be out there all the time admiring it!!
ReplyDeleteI love your pictures, it looks beautifull over there and your horse looks lovely! So much space for riding! (lots of space to ride is quite rare in the Netherlands..)
ReplyDeleteShelly,
ReplyDeleteOH..MY..GOSH!!! You aren't kidding about the "postcard scenery!" Especially the mountaintop view with the lake in the background; it is to-die-for. I have long admired you for riding endurance, and now I will get to see all that beautiful scenery this year when viewing RAC2011. Your video was awesome, too, by the way. I think us Easterners should descend on you like blackflies in May. After all, you DID invite us! ;)
I am gonna say it again, WOW what beautiful country! looks like it was a wonderful ride.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the awesome post, Shelly!! How fabulous that you and your daughter can get out this time of year and ride together. You sure look bundled up toasty! As always LOVE the scenery...you are so blessed!! Thanks for taking the time to snap some pics for us!
