April Obstacle Challenge

My name is Marlene Elliott and this is my second year in the RAC contest, however my first time blogging. My horse April is a 9 year old curly that I purchased from Sheryl D'Uva of Cozy Nook Curlies.

I was so excited to participate in the April obstacle challenge. My April is a dream, however her only bad trait is that she tends to be a bit spooky over strange objects, especially the tarp. You can see by the picture that she is hesitant. We worked so hard on this obstacle and she has done very well. She will walk calmly over the tarp and does not panic if it becomes entangled around her legs. She will even allow us to place it on her back! That was a huge improvement. We even practiced chasing the tarp. She finally caught it with her front feet.

This picture is of some streamers that I hung from the top of our round pen gate. As you can see, she was more interested in eating them then anything else!
