Chrystal and Simon came to Kentucky from Shelly White's place in BC the first week of December. Both have settled in very well and I'm working with them quite a bit.
It's dark when I get off of work but luckily I board at a barn with an indoor arena! So I walked Chrystal the 150 yards (in the dark) to the big barn so we could play. I introduced her to crossties. She was very good though she was a bit confused about being tied but with nothing in front of her, lol. I groomed on her and picked her feet. And then .... I put a saddle on her for the first time!! Of course she was just fine. She turned and looked at me like I'd lost my mind but she was good. I took her into the arena and longed her for a while. She is so much like her brother Sailor. Both of them are just the coolest cucumbers. Considering both of them are over 16hh, I'm glad they're so laid back!
The camera was at home so again, no pics.
Yeah!!! I'm so glad you are enjoying Crystal so much and find her to be so much like Sailor! I didn't realize she was so tall.
ReplyDeleteA big Curly! Glad she is working out so well for you so far.
ReplyDeleteGreat report, Carrie! Yes, Chrystal is a BIG girl, not just tall, but quite massive :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool that you are finding her temperament matched with Sailor's! Sometimes even full syblings are so different! Congrats on a fabulous addition to your herd, Carrie!!
ReplyDeleteThanks guys!! Yes, Chrystal is huge! It's wonderful, lol. I've got a whole herd of related curlies and it's way too cool comparing their personalities. Thanks!!
