The RAC began in 2007 and continued until 2015. It was created to unite all curly horse owners to encourage and motivate each other and to promoting the breed. Participating riders earn points to win amazing prizes. November Team Challenge - 30 day Mini
Teams
Hello team & public visiters! I thought I should explain to those who check the blog often what is going on with the RAC team this month. Sorry for being a little late on this, but better late than never, right? =] The RAC is holding 3 - 30 day mini challenges this year along with the normal yearly contest. The reason for doing this is not just to have fun but to keep the team motivated in enjoying their curlies, training, riding and promoting! Each 30 day mini contest challenges the rider & their curlies in a different way. This month each RACer was giving a choice whether they wanted to sign up for this challenge or not. If they did, they had to pick 1 special curly to work with and a team mate among the RAC group. They didn't have a clue what the challenge was going to be until the day it started. =] Each was giving a list of tasks they had to complete. Each task was worth so many points. The only catch is that they can not count their points unless their team mate also accomplishes the same task. The tasks could be riding through a puddle or riding in the rain. Ground tasks such as teach your horse to pivot or back 20 steps. Along with some other very fun things in learning. These 12 teams will be competing for Grand and Reserve Grand Prize til Nov 30th. Winners will be announced December 11th. So cheer them on and stay tuned as they have fun working through this fun challenge as teams! Click to view teams page.
The RAC will continue until Dec. 31st and the end of year Champions in each division will be announced in Mid January. So stay tuned!!
I am waiting with baited breath to sign up with Spirit for 2012! We tried an agility demo this summer and it was excellent, perfect for the curly brain and showman ego! ~ Sherri & Spirit, Manitoba
