Hello there!
My name is Anastasia and this is my first year as a member of RAC! Most of you probably already know me, I'm Shelly's allergic daughter with the curlies in Summerland. She convinced me this year to sign up, which obviously I did! LOL Over the years, and presently I ride quite a few of my moms horses, as well as my horse Cuervo. So far this year, I've had quite a bit of fun taking pictures and videos with my mum and by myself with our curlies :)
So I suppose I'll get started. Yesterday Bijou and I went out for a trail ride. Bijou is an extreme curly mare that I absolutely love to death. Bijou has been undersaddle for a couple of year now and I've done the majority of the riding. The footing here, surprisingly in the winter, is great so we're trying to ride as much as possible. Here's a could of pictures that I took while I was out.
This is Bijou and I before we left!
I tried to take an artistic eye shot...I think it turned out well!!! She was very cooperative, as always :)
Now here's us on the trail!...well her anyways
Bijou decided that this awful looking bush was worth stopping and eating for.
When we got back she was a tad scared of the big red truck, but got over it to stand nicely for a picture.
And lastly, I took a video! I hope you all like it, it was fun to take.

Note: I am going to university full time at UBC-O so I only have time to ride really 3 days a week. However, I'm going to try to ride as much as is humanly possible!
Thanks all!!!
Anastasia

ReplyDeleteThis is a great first blog - looking forward to tons more!
That is a very fun and funny video - what a good girl Bijou is!
Soo cute, both of you! I love the eye picture! Good luck for the university, but yes, take your time for the horses too!
ReplyDeleteFabulous Anastasia!!! I loved the video...you are as talented as Betsy, video taping, cantering!!! Yikes! Great job! Bijou is such a good girl. You have done a wonderful job training her. I really liked the wave at the end! LoL Oh, and incredible scenery...I sure hope to come visit you sometime!
ReplyDeleteHi Anastasia! Glad that you are blogging! I remember seeing pictures of your Cuervo and thinking what a beautiful horse he is!! It makes you a better rider to be able to ride lots of other horses though!! Good for you. Laurie
