Today it was colder again and al the puddles of icy water on the grounds had frozen over. I should have taken my ice skates when I visited Voelie! I am sure I could have skated around a lot easier than trying to walk!
I decided to leave Voelie in her field, it was less icy there. We spent some time picking up her feet (she knows this but off course needs to be reminded sometimes) and I brought an old towel from my home and used it as a blanket on her to get her used to having someting on her back. She accepted this really well and we enjoyed playing around with it a bit, I had the towel on her neck, on her head and rubbed her all over with it.
I hope the ice will melt away next week so I can safely take Voelie out of the field again!
Here's one of today's pictures:
Hi Jessica. Ahhh, the dreaded ice! Best to keep it safe with your cute little gal....I just love her tight curls! And that look on her face is precious..."OK mom, I am adorable with this thing on my back...what else you got for me?"
ReplyDeleteYou have to love a curly with the desensitizing. For the most part they are so laid back and take everything in stride. I am keeping my fingers crossed for your ice to melt.
Winter has not been kind to any of us!
